Pulmonary function testing is a way to help delineate what type of lung disease, if any, a patient is suffering from. This type of testing helps to narrow the range of possibilities in patients with pulmonary symptoms and also helps us to follow disease progression as well as recovery. This test can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour depending on what specific testing is to be done. We have a PFT machine in our office to ensure that you have the most time efficient visit as possible. Our Respiratory Therapist, Christy Ramey, has been specially trained to operate our machine and takes pride in making sure our patients are comfortable through the whole process.
